Decorating Hint:

In my home, I change the arrangement and the accessories based on the season. During the summer months, I take the focus off of the fireplace.

Before...

The homeowner had beautiful furniture and artwork. They needed their living room to function as a sitting room for guests, a play area, TV viewing area and a computer station.

We created 3 distinct areas for each of their needs and provided proper lighting in the 3 areas. We also “shopped” throughout the rest of the home and found an excellent chest for toy storage. After making 3 areas, we accessorized. Notice how the smaller sitting areas created warmth in their room.
